T7 $100 1861 PF-4 Cr. 11 PMG Choice About Uncirculated 58. Printed by Hoyer & Ludwig in the early months of the war, just over 37,000 of these lithographed $100s were placed in circulation. They were not interest bearing notes and as a result usually ended up in circulation rather than collecting interest in a bank vault or strong box. PMG notes that this pretty, bright note has some evidence of previous mounting on the back. From the Brigadier General Donald D. McClanahan Collection of Confederate & Confederate States Notes HID08101242017
