Giori Test Notes 32 Subject Full Uncut ND circa 1970s Grassgreen/Blank Rothberg RGW1/0NSU - Face / RGMB/0NSU - Back PCGS Choice New 63. This Giori uncut sheet has a few board breaks with the largest found on a Washington portrait in the second row. The portrait combination for this variety is Lincoln, Washington, and Grant with cancellation bars. It is of the Magna Back variety that has a rectangle immediately above the Lincoln Memorial. This full sheet of Gioris is from the Edgar L. Pigman Hoard. Mr. Pigman was an engineer for the American Can Company in Geneva, New York. ACC was contracted by the ABNCo to help fulfill its contract with the BEP to design a new printing press. The press was built in Geneva and shipped to Washington, DC. Testing was performed at the BEP where "nonsense plates" (various design features from different notes) were used on the new press. This press never saw service beyond the testing stage.
