Giori Press Jefferson Center Test Note ND circa 1950s Blank/Greyblack Rothberg RG0/5BMSsw+neW PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ. Jefferson at center Gioris were printed only in West Germany during the 1950s. The Rothberg number is wrong on this PMG graded example. The Giori in this lot is a uniface back with a large amount of natural paper wave on the back. There are Back Multiple Serial numbers, A99984611A, on this example and they are inverted. Rothberg does not have a "BMIS" category for Back Multiple Inverted Serial Numbers category. The "MB" in PMG's use of the Rothberg identification system is incorrect as is stands for Magna Back which appears only on the Washington at center Gioris which were printed in Geneva, NY in the 1970s. All 1950s Jefferson at center Giori backs have "German Backs." Since they are all "German Backs," Rothberg did not designate any backs with his "GB" abbreviation for "German Back" with the example identification numbers for Jefferson at center Gioris that he provided in the June 2002 Currency Dealer Newsletter.
