Rare Coin Road Warrior - Ahead of the Curve
Dear Rare Coin Enthusiast, Every so often you hear a story you just have to pass on to others.  Because the gentleman who told me this story is a good friend and values his anonymity, I am going to cite nothing more specific than the actual historical events that made this story what it is.  The story involves a 'leap of faith' per se on the part of my 'friend Bill', but you can also argue it was an 'educated risk'. Rare Coin Road Warrior Newsletter - January 2013
Dear Rare Coin Enthusiast, 2012 has come and gone and we start 2013 with a 'clean slate' and hope for a prosperous New Year.  One of the neatest aspects about a New Year rolling around is the 'do over' or 'fresh start' feeling that many people, myself included, get with the change on the calendar.  Although the New Year isn't really much more than a new page on the calendar, I always have high hopes for being a better person as well as a prosperous year.  Who doesn't, right? Rare Coin Road Warrior Newsletter - March 2012
Dear Rare Coin Enthusiast, This morning I am somewhere over the Rocky Mountains at 34,000 feet. I have always loved seeing new things, meeting new people, and getting to reacquaint myself with old friends. This week's trip is strictly for buying. I plan to visit several high end coin dealers over the next several days and see what I can buy. One of the big misconceptions about the rare coin profession is 'where' the nice coins come from. This month I am going to explain what I have experienced over the years 'on the road'. (more...)
