Early Type Candidate, Coin Gray Patina, Near-Choice, Adjustments Marks, Sooner Collection. A nicely toned 1795 half with steely gray patina that warrants close inspection. This smooth-looking Fine retains solid outline detail to most design elements. A concentration of adjustment marks (as made) along the right reverse border explains the softness of strike both in that area and along the upper right obverse border. A near-choice specimen for the grade, and equally well suited for a type set or variety purposes (O-117a). Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder.
