A wondrous rarity and just the second year of issue for the series but featuring a new design, the 1839 gold Eagle hails from a low mintage of just 12,447 pieces, few of which survive extant. In our opinion, this is still an undervalued date for the aforementioned factors. The present piece offers natural toning from honest wear and has thankfully avoided harsh cleanings and damage. A fantastic coin with plenty of upside! Visit www.davidlawrence.com for more information on this coin and 7000+ more coins.
