A mintage of 421,500 coins for the date includes the Large Date, Small Date, and StatesOf varieties. It is unknown how many of each were minted. The Large Date variety is the most common of the three making is a great issue for type purposes. The present gem is satiny and smooth throughout with elegant luster cartwheeling across both sides. A weak strike is seen on the right peripheral and the corresponding area on the reverse. Natural toning abounds in hues of sea-green, peach, and sienna. The eye appeal can not be overstated!
