An original 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln Wheat Cent graded XF Details (Environmental Damage) by PCGS. We think that PCGS was very harsh on this particular coin and that they could have easily graded it problem free. It holds a very strong date; clear S Mint-mark and an easily readable V.D.B on the reverse. This key date has been by far our best seller and has continued to be in strong demand among collectors. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484;000. However; the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50;000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example
