Pennsylvania April 10, 1777 18d-2s / 8s-12s Uncut Block of Four PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45. This uncut block comprises four notes printed in only black ink that were part of an emission intended to support the army authorized by the Act of March 20, 1777. The notes were ultimately redeemed at a ratio of 75:1 and became invalid after Jan. 1, 1791. This block of four was originally part of a double sheet of twenty notes. Each note bears serial 15250, with the lower denominations signed by William Thorne and the higher denominations by William Thorne and Caleb Davis. PMG mentions some splits that appear to be limited short edge splits that have minimal impact on this block's visual appeal. HID08101242017
