Rama IV gold 4 Baht (Pit) ND (1863) MS62 NGC, Bangkok mint, KM-Y14, Krisadaolarn/Mihailovs-pg. 163, Plate F31. First Issue of Mongkut. A desirable Near-Choice Thai representative. Infrequently encountered in Mint State and without conditions, as so many examples of the type have been used in jewelry or have been cleaned, tooled, or mounted. This piece is struck with the smaller elephant design and a beaded border meaning it was struck earlier in production during the more desirable 1863 year. Altogether an enchanting, radiant treasure with appreciable striking, found in meticulous preservation. HID07901242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
