South Africa Gouvernements Noot, Pietersburg 100 Pounds 1.4.1901 Pick 65 PMG Extremely Fine 40. Highest denomination of the Pietersburg series of notes from April 1901. As the Boers were pushed farther and farther east, the city of Pietersburg was the last stronghold of the ZAR. A mere 200 notes of this denomination were printed. At the time of writing, PMG has graded a mere 10 examples of this famous rarity. Stains and minor paper damage are mentioned for accuracy, but the overall eye appeal is still good. Rare in any grade.
