A tough issue from a mintage of 700 coins. This colorful gem comes from population of only two with only one PCGS example graded finer at this level of contrast. The 1873-78 Trade Dollar proofs are much scarcer than the 1880-83 (proof only) issues and are much harder to find. Sharply impressed surfaces reveal beautiful blue and purple centers surrounded by gold and rose peripherals. Deeply toned surfaces boast impeccable details and outstanding flashy luster! A very attractive plus-graded and CAC-approved piece worthy of a premium bid. Visit www.davidlawrence.com for more information on this coin and 7000+ more coins.
