This late die state is attributable by the cud that runs from the TY in LIBERTY to star 8, though it is partially obscured within the holder. Deep pewter-gray color adorns this piece with some minor abrasions, but these are largely negligible. The strike is strong with some minor strike weakness primarily over the eagle’s body.
