1860 1C MS67 PCGS. Snow-6. This Snow variety is identifiable by a very distinct die line which runs from Liberty’s lips into the field akin to a toothpick. The Rounded Bust variant of the 1860 Indian cent may be plentiful overall, but Superb Gem examples are conditionally rare. NGC and PCGS combined report only 21 coins as fine as MS67, with none numerically finer (7/26). This example is sharp and unabraded with carbon-free surfaces and mellow copper-orange color -- the hue is warmer than typically seen on copper-nickel cents. The strike is phenomenal with exceptional detail within the headdress feathers. There are no marks that might denigrate this piece with a small patina dot right of the hole in O in ONE.
