A well-worn but pleasing example of this important first-year half cent, struck during the inaugural year of regular coinage at the Philadelphia Mint. Warm medium-brown surfaces show honest, even circulation, with Liberty???s portrait, the 1793 date, and much of the peripheral lettering remaining identifiable. The reverse is considerably worn yet retains portions of the wreath and legends. A desirable, affordable representative of one of the earliest coins produced by the United States Mint.
