Five Pennsylvania Checks Very Fine or Better. Philadelphia, PA- Bank of North America $288; $140.18 1796-1851; Philadelphia, PA- Bank of Pennsylvania $96 Oct. 6, 1796; Philadelphia, PA- Bank of the United States $113.33; $150 1801-40. Each check was hammer-cut cancelled, which caused one check to have an approximate inch long tear in the lower margin. One check has an internal tear and another a small hole.
