Deriberpie product marries the obverse die of BG-415 to the reverse of BG-417, a pairing that stands among the notable rarities of the series. Writing in the 2003 edition of Breen-Gillio, Bob Leonard could enumerate just fourteen examples, at least one of them reportedly holed — and, as he cautioned almost everywhere in his census work, the tally likely carries "probably some duplication," so the number of distinct survivors may well be smaller. PCGS CoinFacts takes a similarly conservative view at 12 to 14 known.
