1941 10C MS68 FB PCGS CAC - The 1941 Mercury dime is a strong and desirable type issue, though examples in true Superb Gem MS68 condition are significantly more difficult to obtain than most Philadelphia and Denver issues of the period, and this coin ranks among the finest certified. It is fully struck with crisp Full Bands and exhibits exceptional technical preservation, with only faint die polish lines visible around Liberty’s portrait that attest to the originality of the surfaces. Both sides retain bright silver foundation enhanced by subtle, naturally developed toning that is deliberately restrained rather than overtly saturated, with light champagne and soft golden hues concentrated near the peripheries and gently blending into largely brilliant centers. The last CAC example sold publicly for $3,840 01/2019 HA for an untoned example, whilst a more relevant toned example sold for $5,523 09/2018 LE which did not have great eye appeal in comparison to this example.
