A Selection of Seven CSA Facsimile Advertising Notes Related to Patent Medicines and Medical Devices from Arkansas, California, Georgia, Illinois (2), and Maryland (2) ca. 1870s-1920s. Hot Springs, AR- Microzone Medicine Co. T-23 $10 CSA Facsimile Advertising Note ND (ca. 1914) Very Good. Microzone, a patent medicine, was claimed to cure "Blood Poison". The company was in business ca. 1914-1921. The note has a large tear in the top margin through the wagon and several edge chips; Los Angeles, CA- S.R. Chamley, M.D. T-67 $10 CSA Facsimile Advertising Note ND (ca. 1910-1920) Very Good. Most of the newspaper articles about Chamley recount lawsuits alleging malpractice, practicing medicine without a license, and other less-than-ethical practices. It appears that Chamley's "practice" was carried on by a son by 1923. The note has fold splits and a corner foldover; Atlanta, GA- Cherokee Medicine Company T-23 $10 CSA Facsimile Advertising Note ND (ca. 1910's) Very Good. The company was in business ca. 1915-1933 and used this note to tout Old Indian Liver and Kidney Tonic ca. 1915. The note has a large top margin tear and chips out of the margins due to the paper used; Chicago, IL- Chicago Medical Co. T66 $50 CSA Facsimile Advertising Note ND (ca. 1886-1910's) Very Good-Fine. The company was incorporated in 1886 and used this note to promote the Peacemaker, a medical device to improve "a weakened or dwarfed state of the genital organs" circa the early decades of the 20th century. The note has some edge chipping and edge splits/tears. Chicago, IL- M.O. Rolfe T-69 $5 CSA Facsimile Advertising Note ND (ca. 1901) Fine. Rolfe was involved in the premiums business ca. 1890-1910 and sold "Gem X Ray Photos", photos of President McKinley, photo buttons, and facsimile Confederate notes. Ads for the Gem X-Ray Photos appeared circa 1896. The note has fold splits and chips out of the margins due to the paper used.; Baltimore, MD- Pancoast Mfg. Co./Pancoast's Blood Pearls T-41 ...
