1802 50C O-101, T-1, R.2, Fine 12 PCGS. Steel-blue and rose-steel dominate the surfaces of this half dollar, with hints of sage and champagne present in select areas. A few old scratches through the portrait are toned-over, and one is hidden in the hair. Several reverse scratches over the wing are much thinner and less noticeable still. The 1802 is one of the key dates in the Heraldic Eagle series, which along with 1801, represent the only dates of the design type with five-figure mintages. Just a single die marriage is known.
