1834 $5 Plain 4, HM-7, R.3, MS62 NGC. The HM-7 can be attributed in part via the triple repunched 4 and constitutes roughly 12% of the remaining 1834 half eagles. Satiny honey-gold luster adorns this example, with some small portions of orange toning around the rims. Notable marks are scarce, with a decently sized abrasion running through the back of the eagle’s neck and a lintmark (as struck) above the left (facing) wing, the only noteworthy mentions.
