(1842-52) G$1 A. Bechtler Dollar, 27G. 21C., Plain Edge, AU53 PCGS. CAC. K-24, R.3. The plain edge is assumed, although the holder prevents positive identification of the edge type. This variety was struck circa 1842-1852. The current example is a lovely AU coin with olive-gold patina and hints of reflectivity in the fields. Well struck and attractively detailed, with excellent eye appeal. Some whitish residue clings to the edges of the letters on each side. Listed on page 423 of the 2027 Guide Book.
