North Carolina December, 1771 £3 PMG About Uncirculated 55. The Act of December, 1771 authorized £60,000 in Debenture Bills. This £3 note has a small vignette depicting the Magna Charta. This example has very broad margins and faces up quite well. The signature of Joseph Montfort, treasurer of the northern district of North Carolina, appears on the back. PMG mentions a repaired edge split, some pinholes, and (faint evidence of) previous mounting. From The Richard Jones Collection HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
