North Carolina August 8, 1778 $1/8 Union of Hearts the Strength of Interest PMG About Uncirculated 50. The $1/8 denomination was the lowest value issued as part of the emission authorized by the Act of August 8, 1778. With the motto Union of Hearts the Strength of Interests in the lower left corner, this typeset design is well printed on bright paper with eight decent margins and the clear signature of William Sharpe.
