North Carolina August 8, 1778 $10 Persecution the Ruin of Empires PMG About Uncirculated 55. This $10 was part of a large issue of $2,125,000 in legal tender Bills of Credit authorized by the Act of August 8, 1778. It features a very interesting motto commenting on the political situation: Persecution the Ruin of Empires. The note is well printed with clear design elements and has bold signatures of Richard Cogdell and Jesse Cobb. PMG mentions that the note has evidence of being previously mounted.
