South Carolina December 23, 1777 (erroneously dated) $2 PCGS Choice New 63PPQ. The date on early printings of the $2 was erroneously printed as December 23, 1777, rather than 1776. After this error was discovered, notes, such as this one, were corrected in brown ink before being placed in circulation. The design elements are darkly inked and the signatures of John Dart and James Wakefield are bold and clear. With only two signatures and no serial number, this is a remainder (it is not attributed as such by PCGS). HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
