(New York, NY?)- Egyptian Hair Coloring "100" Advertising Note ND (ca. late 1870s?) Vlack UNL PMG About Uncirculated 55. This hair product was offered generally circa 1869 to 1877. In October of the latter year, George W. Southwick, the product's promoter, committed suicide by hanging himself, effectively putting an end to the business at least under his direction. It is unclear where this piece fits. It has no identifying text other than the product name and may have been issued after Southwick's death with the company under new ownership. That scenario is speculation and further research is needed to prove or disprove it.
