1878 Benjamin Butler/Dennis (sic) Kearney $100 Political Note Fine. Benjamin Butler ran unsuccessfully for governor of Massachusetts in 1878 as an independent with Greenback Party support. Dennis (Denis) Kearney campaigned with Butler. Edge wear including a missing lower left corner is observed. We also see a hole in Butler's portrait. There are a couple of tape repairs on the back.
