Fr. 18 $1 1869 Legal Tender Very Good-Fine. This note has been silked, however the process of silking a note for preservation has been lost to time. Serial number B1092664* with plate letter D has edge tears and an approximate half inch tear in the Treasury Seal. All 1869 Legal Tender Rainbow notes have serial numbers that end in a solid star. This is a printer's embellishment mark to signify the end of a serial number and not the hollow star used to mark a replacement note. Hollow stars to designate replacements were first used in 1910. There will be no returns on this lot for any reason. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
