British North Borneo British North Borneo Company 10 Dollars 1.1.1927 Pick 22 PMG Very Fine 30. A handsome large-format issue, this 10 Dollars is finely executed by Blades, East & Blades of London. The front depicts Mount Kinabalu, alongside the coat of arms and Chinese, English, and Jawi text. On the back, there is a large guilloche rhombus for the denomination, which retains its strong blue ink. Its condition is particularly impressive, with only four examples recorded in higher grades in the PMG Population Report at time of cataloging. We have previously offered three examples of the type, but this is the highest-graded example we have ever presented at auction. Minor stains are mentioned on the holder.
