Malaya Board of Commissioners of Currency 10,000 Dollars ND (1942) Pick 17cts KNB17CT Color Trial Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 63. Malaya's $10,000 note of the 1940s is one of the rarest type notes known for all of Southeast Asia. It was not issued publicly, so only Specimens and Color Trials are known. The Color Trial seen here very closely mirrors the $1000 denomination of this series, which is a bit strange. It seems this color scheme was ruled out, with greens and browns chosen instead. A small Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company Specimen stamp is seen on each side, along with a few faint pencil impressions. One of only nine graded in the PMG Population Report at the time of writing. A good complement to a traditional Specimen. Very rare and desirable due to its ultra high denomination. From The Peh Family Collection HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
