Malaya Board of Commissioners of Currency 10,000 Dollars ND (1942) Pick 17s KNB17S Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. The Straits Settlements and Malaya's $10,000 notes were not issued to the public, but were instead used for settlements between banks. This Specimen represents Malaya's $10,000 of the 1940s, for a brick of 1000 pieces within the serial number range seen, in or around 1947. These notes were, perhaps, undated, as the public never saw them, or they were dated when used within the banking system. This is only the second we have offered and one of only seven graded by PMG at the time of writing. One small perforated cancellation and mounting remnants are mentioned for accuracy. An extremely rare Specimen of a gigantic denomination note used behind the scenes by banks only. From The Peh Family Collection HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
