A beautiful original 1877 key date Three Cent Nickel graded PR 64 Cameo by NGC. This attractive original coin is a proof-only issue and carries attractive nice white surfaces with a strong cameo throughout both sides. The cameo designation indicates that this coin was likely a very early strike from the proof dies that it was minted from. It looks more white than what is shown in the photos provided. This proof issue coin is among the most valuable for the series with a low expected survival rate of only 650 coins according to the PCGS Coin Facts. Of these survivors; it is one of only 98 that has been graded Proof 64 Cameo by NGC.
