1882 T$1 PR66 Cameo PCGS. JD-1, R.2. The 1882 issue was among the larger proof-only productions of Trade dollars, with a total of 1,097 coins distributed. This example displays lighter golden-silver luster with attractive reflective fields. The strike is pleasing, with weakness only along the top stars, as expected for the issue. Cameo proofs are seldom seen beyond PR66, with just two reported finer by PCGS, although some Deep Cameo examples are also seen finer (8/26). From The West Texas Collection.
