Ball 296 Cr. 142 $100 1863 Fine; Ball 309 Cr. 143A $500 Bond 1864 Fine. These bonds are both very similar just with different denominations. They are engraved by J. Archer, Richmond, Va and printed by Evans & Cogswell, Columbia, SC. Both should be signed by Rose but the $500 has Epperson signing "for" Rose as Register of the Treasury. The $100 has no coupons attached whereas the $500 bond has all but one coupon remaining intact. Minor edge roughness and small edge tears. Both bonds display a complete Confederate Treasury stamp.
