CAC. A spectacular 1862/1 displaying brilliant, frosty luster that flows evenly across both sides, with exceptional eye appeal for the type. Surfaces are notably clean and smooth, entirely consistent with the lofty MS 67+ grade, and free of distracting marks under magnification. Strike is sharp throughout, with full definition to the central shield lines on the obverse and crisp detailing to the Roman numeral III and surrounding stars on the reverse. Color is a bright, silvery white with a subtle satin sheen, giving the piece a fresh, vibrant appearance. This coin combines rarity, technical quality, and visual appeal at the highest level. CAC approved and none have graded finer at NGC or PCGS.
