Leading collectibles show kicks off 2019 show year with exclusive coin reveals, historical exhibits, live auctions and more at January 31-February 2, 2019 expo

Long Beach, Calif. – Jan. 24, 2019 – The Long Beach Expo (LBE), the leading coin, currency, stamp and sports collectible show, will host its January 31-February 2, 2019 show next week at the Long Beach Convention Center, featuring a limited coin release from the United States Mint, one of the first gold coins struck in the U.S., live auctions from the world's largest collectibles auctioneer, Heritage Auctions, and much more.

Show Highlights include:

  • Live auctions from the official auctioneer of the Long Beach Expo: Heritage Auctions (Viewing room 103-BC & Booth #400)
    • The world's largest collectibles auctioneer, Heritage Auctions, will host its Signature U.S. Coins Auction live at the expo from January 31-February 2.  To learn more about the auctions and schedule, visit Heritage Auctions.

  • The United States Mint limited coin release (Booth #1540)
    • The U.S. Mint will debut its limited Preamble to the Declaration of Independence Platinum Proof Coin, the second coin in the series of three coins named Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness.

  • The Legendary 1787 Brasher Doubloon and New York Coppers exhibit (Booth #401)
    • The 1787 Brasher Doubloon was one of the first gold coins struck in the U.S.  Viewing this gold doubloon will be a once-in-a-lifetime event as there are only seven Brasher Doubloons known to be in existence and it is widely recognized to be one of the most important rarities in American numismatics.  This display will also feature seven elite New York copper pieces, among the finest known of their kinds with impressive pedigrees to collections by famous numismatists of the past.

  • West Coast debut of award-winning "Mr. Perfection 13” Morgan Dollar Proof Set exhibit (Booth #401)
    • One of the finest known Morgan Dollar Proof Sets will be making its West Coast debut at the expo and will feature the award-winning 27-coin Morgan Dollar basic proof set that is 100 percent complete with a PCGS Set Registry rating of 69.47.

  • Autograph Pavilion with legendary NFL Raiders pro (Booth #1535)
    • On Saturday, February 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Raiders all-time sack leader, Greg Townsend will be on-site for fan meet and greets.  Autographs and memorabilia available for purchase.

  • LCG Signatures presents Tinker Bell and Boo (Booth #1129)
    • Margaret Kerry, best known for her work as the model for Tinker Bell in Disney's animated feature Peter Pan, and Mary Gibbs, best known for her work as the voice actor for Boo from Pixar's Monster's Inc., will be on-site Saturday, February 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for fan meet and greets.  Autographs and memorabilia available for purchase.

Additional show highlights include PCGS on-site grading and "Meet the Expert" Sessions with PCGS president Brett Charville (booth #401), PSA show grading (booth #1334), free kids treasure hunt (booth #1168), Memory Lane Inc.'s "Meet the Expert" sport sessions (booth #1126), and more.
